Race & Faith: Black Women Parts 2 & 3
As we continue our listening season as a church regarding racial injustice in our country, we wanted to use the month of August listening to voices that are often the most unheard. In these conversations, black women from The Well share their lived experiences regarding racism in America, and how these women continue to find comfort, strength, and hope through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In part 2, Jennifer Boegner, Tamekia Jackson, and LaWanda Townsend share about the impact of the ideology of "white is right," white privilege, and colorism have impacted their lives and communities, and how their faith helps them overcome.
In Part 3, the ladies discuss racism within the Church, the history of "whitewashing Christianity," and what it looks like for the Church to pursue racial reconciliation and unity today.
