Student Ministry Resident
Willis grew up in Frederick County, MD for the first 20 years of his life before moving to the PG/Montgomery County area when he started attending the University of Maryland at College Park. He graduated from the University of Maryland in December of 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Despite his degree being in engineering, Willis has been led by God to serve in youth ministry at The Well. He loves working with youth as he believes that they are a vital part of the church body that should not be overlooked, not just because they are created in the image of God and deeply loved by him, but also because they are the future of the church. He believes in training youth in the knowledge of God and desires for the them to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
His passion for youth ministry also stems from his personal experience. Growing up, he was mentored by several church leaders, but especially his youth leader, who had a profound impact on Willis. Trevor, his youth leader, showed him what it meant to lead humbly, serve the poor, and walk with God, and he was changed by that example. Willis is incredibly grateful that God put someone like that in his life to help him grow and learn more about the way of Jesus, and he now hopes that God can use him to have a similar impact on the youth at The Well.
