We want to be "On Mission" as a church by going on short-term mission trips. We are so excited to have global mission partners in all different parts of the world. Our ministry partners are preaching a holistic gospel, planting churches, teaching financial responsibility, and making disciples among unreached groups and the poorest in their communities.
Our prayer is to finance more gospel-centered projects that also meet the needs of the local community. We want to finance the seed money for faith-based projects that will become financially self-sustaining.
Your participation in our short-term mission trips is critical in The Well becoming a globally focused church. By going on our short-term mission trips, you can serve with our ministry partners around the world, use the talents and gifts God has given you, and become an advocate for what God is doing in and through our church.
Short-term Mission Trips Opportunities:
Japan (Adults)
Lead: Kelvin DaSilva
Dates: May 25 to June 14, 2026
Purpose: We will be with All People Community Church (APCCs) and working with a local ministry in Fukuoka, Japan. We will be sharing the gospel with the world's 2nd-largest unreached people group and serving our American missionaries as they prepare to launch their church. This is an exploratory trip to see how God might create an opportunity for short and long-term partnership.
Ecuador (Family Trip)
Lead: Matt Halbe
Dates: August 7-14, 2026
Purpose: Share the gospel with unreached ethnic groups, provide spiritual and moral support to the Christians in the Amazon, train and equip leaders, and help with construction projects. Our home base will be in Shell. The same city from which Jim Elliot launched to share the gospel in the Amazon. If you have not watched the movie “End of the Spear” or read “Through Gates of Splendor” please do so. The trip is designed with families in mind, we will work in the town of Shell teaching at a local school, share the gospel at the local churches and community outreach ministries.
Costa Rica (Student Ministry Trip Only)

Dates: July 4-10, 2026
Purpose: Will be working with a local ministry to build a house for a family living in poverty. The trip will encourage youth to step out of their comfort zone and share their testimony. Our home base will be Puerto Viejo. The town is on the Atlantic coast of Costa Rica. Most of the population lives below the poverty line. This trip is great for youth who want to become more mission-focused. If you love to teach children, play an instrument, build, or share the gospel, this is your trip.
Eastern Shore (Family Trip)

Dates: September 5-6, 2026
Purpose: Share the gospel with migrant workers from Haiti, Mexico, and other countries. Our home base will be in Onley, VA. The trip is designed with families in mind. We will be leading worship, providing food, and clothing to migrant workers. But more importantly, we will be sharing the gospel and teaming up with other churches in the area.
