Family Worship Thrive
April 8th @ 11:15am upstairs in the annex

We will study together what the Bible teaches in how parents should be leading their children spiritually at home, learn the importance of family worship in church history, and then offer practical tips for how parents can lead worship in their homes today. Family Ministry will be going on during this time, so feel free to drop your child off, and come learn about family worship!

Integration Ministry Training: Kids Serving Kids!
April 8th @11:15am in Sanctuary Basement.

One of Family Ministry’s main objectives is to integrate our children into the life of the church. One way in which we seek to accomplish this mission is to give our elementary-aged children opportunities to serve in our family ministry. Our desire is to equip our kids to serve kids! If your child is interested in helping out in family ministry, have them come to this class where we will give them the proper tools necessary to serve in an appropriate age group in Family Ministry.

Family Starting Points

Scripture Memory: Revelation 7:10,12
“Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!…Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

Big Picture Question: What does the Holy Spirit do? The Holy Spirit helps Christians follow Jesus.

Bible Story: “Peter Heals a Beggar” Acts 3:1-10; 4:5-31

  • Peter and John saw a man who could not walk.
  • The man asked for money, but Peter gave him something better.
  • In the name of Jesus, Peter healed a man who could not walk.
  • Peter and John refused to stop talking about Jesus.

Family Discussion Starters:

  • Can you think of a time you got something better than you expected?
  • Where did the power to heal the man come from?
  • How can we help people with the Holy Spirit power today?

Family Activity:

  • Spend an afternoon volunteering with your family at a homeless shelter or a senior living center. Talk to your kids about the importance of helping those in need.

Next Week:

  • Acts 7 “Stephen’s Address”
